Challenges

14. REMARKABLES
Quilts must support the colour theme and have 30% triangles. Quilt made by the entrant is to express the theme through use of colour, design and dimension.
Colour requirements:
• Minimum Brown 50%
• Minimum Blue 15%
• Minimum White 5% and
• 30% the makers own choice.
Minimums are not maximums.
The design must include 30% triangles.
Maximum size 240cm in any one direction.

15. FIBRELICIOUS
Entries in this challenge are not required to be three layers.
Anything goes as long as your entry is 3-D and fits into a box of dimensions: 395mm x 455mm x 170mm (lineflo).
Please note that the box will not be part of the display and is just to give you a 3-D size to work within.
Consider: fabric / felt / paper / wire / glue / tied / stitched / wearables / accessories. Think of a theme, colour, title around the word ‘fibrelicious’ and let your imagination do the rest.

16. ANZAC QUILTED BANNER
Quilt expressing the ANZAC theme. Please note that this is to be hung vertically and must have a hanging sleeve at the top. Any embellishments including tassels must fit within the total size 60cm x 100cm rectangle. The banner can be any shape but must fit in the rectangle.

17. WEB CHALLENGE
Quilt made by the entrant individually following the rules as set out under the Web Challenge posted on www.remarkablesymposium2011.org.nz. In December 2009.
There will be six small quilts over a 12 month period.
